My wife & I & Ralphy Boy ,our dog ,just spent from 6/23 to 6/30 at Devon suite in Foxhill where we found unexpected Ambiance, Ambiance & Ambiance befitting great 5 STAR hotels only better……….I don’t know where to start so let me start with the location on 38 beautiful acres in between huge mountains ………..The view from all angles was such that you never wanted to get in the car to see the nearby sites inc. Lexington, Staunton & the entire Shenandoah valley………..So on 2 of our 7 days we refused to leave the premises!! & stayed out………..The House & suites are both plush & rustic so why leave………..And then there is Cathy with always the unexpected such as washing your clothes & taking the dog for a walk when you left the pup to see the Alpacas (go see them!)……………..I have saved Mike for last…In addition to being a golly good fellow, he is a Michelin Chef who makes Breakfast a exciting adventure ranging from his home made & cured Bacon to his Eggs Benedict to Matzo Brei & numerous other exciting dishes like waffles & fried chicken & omelette combinations with no names because Mike created them! The restaurants in Staunton (Mill Street Cafe & Edelweiss) & Lexington (Bocca Cafe & Southern Inn ) were all tops & both nearby towns are rich with history & quaintness & hospitality!!! Both truthfully these Historic towns with San Francisco hilly streets were great to visit but nothing topped the beauty, graciousness, & serenity of Fox Hill !!
